Cheap Promotional Supplies Make A Killing

I walked around town today and made a great realization: cheap promotional supplies rake in money. A lot of you might find me crazy or plain dumb, but I’ll tell you what happened that made me think this way…
Have you ever seen a thrift shop close down? I guess not. They sell those cheap promotional apparel products next to nothing, yet, their business survive and still persist. The apparel they sell almost cost nothing, yet they are able to grow their business out of it.
Another example are used car businesses. A lot of them sell crappy old cars and cheap promotional auto accessories, yet they manage to survive. In the place that I grew up, the oldest used car shop was even able to expand their business. Now they also sell second-hand auto products and accessories. The common denominator between these two examples is the cheap items that they give their customers.
A lot of people tend to assume that cheap items result to cheap business. As the old saying goes, “when you get peanuts, you get monkeys”. Evidently, this phrase does not apply to all cases, especially in putting up a business. The amount of they used for their marketing strategy, if you call it that, does not translate the rate of success of the business. There are businesses that spend millions on commercials and still fold up after some time.
It’s better now to have the awareness of this phenomenon. Money should be used on very affordable products that can make a killing for the benefit of the business. It won’t cost much for the company, and come next recession, the effect will also be lesser.
